We live a short walk from the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. Saule is a history teacher and loves telling guests about the old Silk Road city. Our youngest daughter Dana is getting married.
Message the hostThe family's story
Dana is our youngest, and the house will feel very empty after she leaves. We want her farewell to be full of music and people. Our courtyard has hosted three generations of family celebrations under the same apricot tree. Saule will gladly show you the old city the morning after.

About this tradition
Қыз ұзату
Kyz uzatu is the moment a bride's family says goodbye to their daughter before she joins her husband's family. It is emotional, celebratory and often tearful: parents, grandparents and friends fill the evening with advice, blessings and music so that she leaves home surrounded by love.
